Debbie Simmons has been announced as Managing Director at our recent 30th anniversary reunion event, bringing her deep industry knowledge, business expertise, and collaborative spirit to the helm of Victa’s future. Debbie has been instrumental in shaping our services and culture—and we’re thrilled to see her lead us into our next chapter.

Meanwhile, Neil Sime, founder of Victa Railfreight, will transition to the role of Executive Chairman. Neil’s vision, resilience, and commitment have guided Victa from its earliest days in Sittingbourne to its national presence today. His continued involvement will ensure our values and strategic direction remain strong. 

This leadership transition marks a moment of reflection—and celebration. Over the coming weeks, we’ll be sharing 30 stories from our 30-year journey: the people, projects, partnerships, and pivotal moments that shaped Victa Railfreight. 

From pulp trials at Sheerness to timber trains in the Highlands, from training thousands in rail safety to supporting major infrastructure projects—Victa has always been about doing things differently, and doing them well.
