We carried out our periodic site safety inspection at our Dove Holes operation on Wednesday 8th October — an important opportunity to engage directly with our team on matters of health, safety, and wellbeing.
In attendance were members of our Operational Management Team, Employee Safety and frontline staff responsible for the day-to-day rail operations at the site.

Key topics discussed included:
Reinforcing that the safe operation of rail freight is absolutely paramount and must never be compromised for performance.
Recognising and identifying hazards, and the actions required to reduce risk.
Understanding how good housekeeping standards contribute to a positive and healthy working environment.
The event was well received by the team, who were eager to deepen their understanding of how their individual actions directly impact the safe operation of UK rail freight. Their commitment to safety plays a vital role in delivering operational excellence across our industry.
The value of engaging personally with our team on safety matters cannot be overstated. It was a rewarding day, with all attendees reporting that they felt positive and supported in their roles — especially in relation to health, safety, and wellbeing.
