RECRUITING: Rail Logistics Operator

Looking for a hands-on role in the rail freight industry? Join our operational team as a Rail Logistics Operator (RLO) and play a vital part in the safe movement and preparation of freight trains across the network. This is a rewarding, practical role with full training provided and opportunities to build a long-term career in rail. A valid UK driving licence will be required for this role.
As an RLO, you will play a key role in the safe and efficient movement of freight trains within sidings, terminals, and other operational rail environments across our network locations.
Your responsibilities will include:
Carrying out shunting operations safely and professionally in accordance with railway rules and procedures.
Preparing trains for main line operation.
Conducting rolling stock inspections and ensuring vehicles are fit for service.
Checking wagon loads and train consist information.
Supporting the safe dispatch and operation of freight services.

Working Pattern
The rail freight industry operates 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. As such, weekend work forms part of the role.
While you will not be required to work every weekend, applicants must be willing and available to work Saturdays and Sundays when rostered.
Training and Physical Requirements
No previous experience is required, as full training will be provided.
Applicants must be aged 18 or over and be physically fit, as the role involves working outdoors, walking over uneven ground, climbing on and around rail vehicles, and undertaking other physically active duties.
